Twink or Swim: A 1990s Salt Lake City gay teen enlists in the US Navy and is sent to Japan to join the crew of a 224’ long warship made out of wood--the boat, and the Sailors, too.
J'myle Koretz is a Seattle-based stand-up comedian. He was born in Salt Lake, the only city where being a Jew makes you a gentile. He came out in 2000, just as Mitt Romney was saving the Winter Olympics. After he left West High School in 2003, he worked briefly for Howard Dean and John Kerry’s presidential campaign. He joined the Navy and spent four years in the Western Pacific on the crew of USS Patriot, an Avenger-class warship, visiting over 30 countries on a mission to sweep mines and meet guys.
He lives in Seattle and performs stand up comedy from San Francisco to Vancouver.
