When Bruce comes into a barber shop after not getting his hair cut for a while, he realizes he has more in common with his barber, Stevie, than he expected. Through their rapidly deepening conversation, they touch on their own queerness, complicated family dynamics, and their Mormon upbringing, allowing them both to nudge the other towards the life they want to live, and giving Bruce the space to be fully honest with Stevie about the stories he’s been telling.
