With You

A story of love and friendship that follows three friends over two years in SLC in the early 2000s. Best friends Georgia and Christopher struggle to create a life in the arts, Georgia and Dustin fall in love and navigate the messiness of building a life with another person, battling mental health challenges, and supporting one another while staying true to themselves. Themes of self-harm and suicide are explored.

About the Artists: Jamie is a graduate of the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah and holds an MA in Applied Theatre (Theatre in the Community and Theatre in Education) from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, UK. Upon completing her MA, Jamie and her young daughter moved back to the U.S. and Jamie landed her dream job at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, UT, where she has been Artistic & Managing Director of Egyptian YouTheatre since December 2011. A long-held dream, Jamie started Play is the Thing in the fall of 2020 to keep herself, her students, and her artistic partners in crime creating and playing during the world-changing Covid-19 pandemic.
